Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. What this covers, and who you're contracting with

These terms cover your RSM account (this portal) and your license to use RSM Web, the Rust dedicated server management software.

The seller is Rust Server Manager, a registered company. “Rust Server Manager” is our registered legal name and also the name the product trades under — there is no separate trading name. When you buy a license or use this service, you are contracting with us (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account, buying a license, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.

2. Payments, tax and refunds

Purchases made through this site are processed by Paddle, our online reseller. Paddle is the merchant of record for those orders — Paddle takes the payment, collects any VAT or sales tax that applies where you are, issues the tax invoice, and processes refunds and chargebacks. We handle the product itself and your support.

Orders placed through Paddle are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, which cover payment, billing and tax. Purchases made before we moved to Paddle were handled through PayPal, and refunds for those go back the same way.

RSM Web is a one-time purchase: there is no recurring charge, no renewal date and nothing to cancel. Our Refund Policy sets out the refund window and how to ask for one.

3. License

A valid license tied to your RSM account is required to run RSM Web. A license covers up to three machines at a time, not three install events: you can freely swap which machine holds a slot, signing one out and a new one in, at no cost and with no limit on how often you do so. Only the concurrent count matters — connecting a fourth machine simply requires signing one of the existing three out first. (The dashboard and API refer to a machine's registered slot as an "activation"; it's the same concept.) We may revoke a license — for example in the case of a refund, chargeback, or a violation of these terms. See the Refund Policy for the refund window and what a refund does to your license, and section 8 below for when we may suspend or terminate access.

4. Our intellectual property

RSM Web, this portal, their source code, documentation, branding and artwork remain ours. Buying a license buys you the right to run the software under these terms — it does not transfer ownership of it, and it does not give you the right to copy, redistribute, resell, decompile or build derivative works from it, except where the law grants you that right regardless of what this page says.

5. Account responsibilities

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your account and the licenses attached to it are not transferable without our approval. You may not sell, rent, lend or otherwise hand your account over to someone else without contacting us first. We're not trying to trap you here — email support@rustservermanager.com and we'll usually approve a genuine transfer. The rule exists so that we know who actually owns a license when there's a dispute, a refund, or a compromised account to sort out. An account transferred without approval may have its license revoked.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't:

  • use it for anything unlawful, or to help someone else do so;
  • use it for fraud, spam or any other deceptive practice;
  • infringe our intellectual property, or anyone else's;
  • interfere with the security of the service — no malware, no probing or scanning our systems, no scraping, and no attempts to reach data or accounts that aren't yours;
  • attempt to circumvent a license's machine limit, or share account credentials to exceed the machine cap.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the account/license service available, but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. RSM Web itself is designed to keep working through brief outages of this service.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to the service, and revoke a license, where you materially breach these terms, where a payment for it is refunded, reversed or charged back, where there's a security or fraud risk to us or to other customers, or where you repeatedly or seriously break the acceptable use rules above. Where the circumstances allow it, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
